When jewellery is worn the moisture in your skin keeps the jewellery clean.
When your not wearing your jewellery and you leave it out, it will start to oxidise in the air, which sends it a dirty colour. You can prevent this from happening by putting it in a sealable air tight bag. Also spray your perfume and apply creams and allow them to dry before you put your jewellery on. If you forget as we all do, You can use a silver cloth as a silver cloth will not damage pearls or stones. If you have intricately patterned jewellery the best and very effective way to clean it is use an old tooth brush with toothpaste, you will be amazed at the results and delighted to have the sparkle return.
